Anatoliy Tolstoukhov was born on January 2, 1956 in Khartsyz’k town of Donets’k region. He is a public and political figure, author of numerous publications on political science, social philosophy, culture, ecology.

Doctor of Philosophy.

People’ Deputy of the 1^st and 4^th convocations.

In 1978 graduated from the Orlov State Pedagogical Institute, faculty “History, social science and English language”. He started his working career as a director of 8-year school, worked in the system of education. After serving in the army worked in the party bodies, editor deputy of the regional newspaper “ Prapor Pratsi ” (Labor’s Flag).

In 1990 was elected People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

1995-1997 Deputy of the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

1997-1999 – Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers, Government Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

2000 - Head Deputy of the Kyiv city state administration of education and culture.

2003-2005, 2006-2007  – Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

From March, 11, 2010 - Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Head of the public organization “All-Ukrainian Ecology League”.

Honorary President of the Arts Development Fund.

President of the Charitable Organization “Center of Practical Philosophy”.

Editor-in-chief of the magazines “ Philosophs’ka Dumka ” (Philosophical Thought) and “ Praktychna Philosophia ” (Practical Philosophy).

Awarded with Orders of the President of Ukraine “For Merits” of II and III Grades, Diplomas of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Honored scientific worker of Ukraine.

Married, has two sons.
